Mental health is the key component of living a fulfilling life.
In the world that is mainly focused on external measurements of success, often it seems that what other people think is the most important thing, while our authentic, imperfect internal world remains repressed and left aside. Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, relationship problems and burnout are just some of those problems that people deal with on daily basis, without sufficient support, often hiding them even from the closest people.
Precisely in these and similar situations, psychotherapy, as a scientifically proven method of taking care of our mental health, helps us in dealing with our inner conflicts and in becoming more mature individuals who are authentic and have emphaty towards ourselves and others.
Psychotherapy is, in its core, learning to love yourself with a help of a therapist, in a setting that is reliable and safe.
Individual
psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is conducted according to specific needs of a client, from 2 times a week to 1 time a month.
Duration of a therapy session is 6o minutes. In a session, the client talks about whatever comes to mind, without set subject(s) or need for preparation.
Group
psychotherapy
Group psychotherapy is conducted in groups between 6-8 members (who don't know themselves privately), once a week, in a fixed schedual of 1:30h. During their time in the group, clients develop mutual relationships and through them work on their emotional difficulties with close people outside the group.
Couples
psychotherapy
Couples therapy is meant for all the couples who want to work on their relationship, resolve conflicts and strengthen their sense of intimacy. The therapist does not pick sides between the partners but is on the side of their relationship. The duration of the session is between 60-90 minutes, according to the therapists estimation.
Supervision
Individual or group supervision is meant for professionals working with people (for ex. therapists, social workers, psychologists, medical workers, teachers), most often in professions who are in high risk of burnout. The work is focused on strengthening the feeling of competence and resolving demanding situations in the work environment.
Training
The lectures (1-3h) are meant for groups who want to expand their knowledge on mental health using the psychoanalytical and Transactional analysis theory. The main goal is to deliver information based on practical experience which is relevant and useful for a specific group of professionals and their workplace.
FAQ
Are my problems too „small“ for psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is not solely focused on healing from trauma but everything that is emotionaly demanding and hard for a specific individual. The problems are not looked at as „small“ or“ big“ but rather how important and painful they are for the person who is experiencing them. We all deserve help and support.
What is the difference between talking to friends/family and psychotherapy?
Psychotherapist is a person who is educated in one or more psychotherapy methods and is competent in recognising emotions, emotional relations and different ways of handling stress and trauma. The therapeutic relationship is very specific in how it defines the roles between the therapist and the client which ensures the client to be sincere without the fear of jeopardising the relationship.
How does the 1st session look like?
On the 1st session the client and the therapist talk about mutual expectations and settle on the terms of working together. The clients talk about only the things they are ready to disclose and the therapist presents their methods of work after which they decide together about the start of the therapy process.
